I've been learning English for quite some time and I here to tell you that it is not an easy ride. It requires self-discipline and probably as much activities as one could get. So on the face of it I want to use this blog as a kind of the desktop log or whatever you are going to call it where I could write and collect various stuff as notes, links, audio, video whatever. I want it to develop over time to the worthy kind of a activity database in order to keep track on my progress, set aims and categorize everything altogether.
The author gives good overview of internet and its history and explains why we had and still have internet names in English. But eventually this is changing and soon we will have non-Latin internet addresses. Bill Thompson welcomes the change, but... more
